Rose at 8. After Breakfast went to Church, but when I arose in the morning I found that the little Canary I was rearing had died during the night. After breakfast went to Church. The Duke and Duchess of St Albans here in the afternoon. We had a pleasant walk. We then came home. The morning rather dull but the latter part of the day fine.

Rose at ¼ past 7. After Breakfast went to see my Rabbits. In the afternoon I went out on my pony round the Park with Miss Flower, who was in the Pony Chair, and we had a very nice ride. The house is full of Company on account of the Bazaar. A beautiful day and I think it promises fair for to-morrow.
Tuesday 1st June 1841
Rose at ¼ past 7. After Breakfast took a message on my pony to the Swiss Cottage. Then to my Rabbits. At 11 o’clock came home to dress for the Bazaar for which everybody I think is going mad. I did not do much; I only walked about and bought several articles: we then proceeded to the Swiss Cottage where we had dinner. There was a great deal of company and we staid there until 9 o’clock.
